The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China, Shahrat Nuryshev, took part in the 10th International Forum of Energy Company Executives on the topic: “Practical cooperation for the energy transition and safe development,” DKNews.kz reports.
This forum was organized by the State Energy Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the China National Petroleum Corporation “CNPC” and is aimed at strengthening and developing energy cooperation.
The event was attended by leaders of the State Energy Administration of the People’s Republic of China, the government of Shandong Province, the State Development and Reform Committee of the People’s Republic of China, the largest oil and gas companies in China, such as CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, PetroChina International, PipeChina, China Huaneng, Goldwind, heads of leading analytical centers and research institutes, including S&P Global Commodity Insights, Forecast Think Tank, Research Center of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in China.
In his speech at the opening ceremony of the forum, Shakhrat Nuryshev noted the main directions of further interaction in the field of oil and gas cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized that cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the field of oil and gas is mutually beneficial and strategic. The Kazakh diplomat noted Kazakhstan’s readiness to expand cooperation with China not only in the oil and gas sector, but also in the development of renewable energy sources and the development of a green economy. He also informed about the Comprehensive Plan for the development of the largest oil, gas and petrochemical projects for 2023-2027, approved by the Government of Kazakhstan, with an expected investment volume of $37.3 billion.
