Limiting emissions. Control and consistency
In compliance with the corporate “Industrial Environmental Control Program,” environmental monitoring is carried out regularly at the facilities of HTS Exploration Ltd, including monitoring of atmospheric air in nearby settlements such as the Zhanazhol rotational camp, and the settlements of Kenkiyak, Shubarshi, and Sorkol, as well as in areas surrounding the small rivers Temir, Emba, and Atzhaksy. Specialized monitoring stations have been installed in the sanitary protection zones of the Zhanazhol and Kenkiyak fields, equipped with modern systems for meteorological observations and chemical-analytical analysis of air quality.
The automated stationary system enables continuous monitoring of air quality. This allows for real-time collection of data on atmospheric conditions and pollutant levels, supporting the comparison and analysis of air quality over time. The system also stores the collected data for longitudinal environmental assessments and compliance tracking.
HTS Exploration Ltd conducts its emission management activities in accordance with limits defined in official state environmental permits. It is noteworthy that actual atmospheric emissions remain well below the permitted thresholds. Similarly, waste disposal volumes are within the regulatory limits. The Company ensures full compliance with established environmental emission volumes and prioritizes responsible resource and waste management.
In accordance with regulatory provisions outlined in the Environmental Code, operators of major industrial facilities are required to implement automated systems for environmental emission monitoring at principal stationary sources. This requirement has been thoroughly reviewed by the environmental specialists of HTS Exploration Ltd. In response, the Company has engaged a contractor to begin pre-project assessments of production facilities and develop design documentation in preparation for the future deployment of such systems.
